Report: Kevin Durant, Warriors to Play Preseason Game in Seattle vs. Kings

Golden State would be the home team and face the Kings, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Kevin Durant will return to Seattle for the first time since the end of the 2007-08 season when the Warriors play host to the Kings at Key Arena Oct. 6 for a preseason game, Ailene Voisin of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Voisin adds that the contract for the game has not been signed yet, but that is just a formality.

There has not been an NBA game in Seattle since the SuperSonics' home finale for the 2007-08 season, when they defeated the Mavericks 99-95 April 13, 2008. In that game, a rookie Durant put up 19 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal for the home team.

Durant, and the Sonics moved to Oklahoma City the following season and became the Thunder. In his one year as a Sonic, Durant won Rookie of the Year while averaging 20.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.

The Kings were nearly moved to Seattle in 2013. Now-Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and Chris Hansen attempted to buy the Kings with the intent to move them to Seattle, but then-NBA commissioner David Stern gave Sacramento a chance to put together a group of investors to match the sales price.

West Ham Star Admits He’s Relishing Chance to Face Virgil van Dijk After Scintillating Recent Form

West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic is relishing the opportunity to cause chaos among Liverpool's back-line which will include the world's most expensive defender, Virgil van Dijk, when the sides meet this weekend.

Arnautovic has been on fire under David Moyes, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in his past nine appearances.

This has massively helped to relieve the worries of relegation around West Ham and the Austrian is looking to keep this run going against an inform Liverpool side.

The Reds have been on scintillating form in recent weeks and even appear to be on their way to resolving their problems at the back. However, Arnautovic is confident that his side can cause Liverpool problems.

When speaking the The Liverpool Echo, he said: ''We know that Liverpool have an amazing front three, but they need to be careful about our forwards as well. It’s going to be an interesting game. It’s going to be hard, but we want to keep a clean sheet and then it’s up to us to score goals.

''I played at Anfield twice when I was with Stoke and it’s a hard place to go. We all know that Liverpool is one of the best teams in the Premier League, especially now with the players they have and the run they have been on.

PAUL ELLIS/GettyImages

''But I think we have also done well in the last few games and we will go there and try to take something out of the game.''

Liverpool will no doubt be wary of the threat Arnautovic poses and a win would put them in a commanding position for a top four place come the end of the season. West Ham on the other hand need a win to make sure they stay clear of a fiercely competitive relegation scrap.

Arsenal Star Hector Bellerin Hits Back at Critics Following Controversial Comments About AFTV

Arsenal's Hector Bellerin has taken to social media to slam critics calling him out over the comments he made about Arsenal FanTV.

The Spanish full-back appeared to speak at Oxford University recently, and was asked for his opinion on the YouTube channel - famed for the production of reactionary videos to Gunners games, many of which go viral when the team lose.

Bellerin had questioned the motives of the channel, and ripped in to the notion of it 'making money off of the club's failures'.

In the past, show host Robbie has interviewed many fans straight after heavy or unlikely defeats, resulting in huge viewing figures and football fans are at a point now whereby any Gunners defeat is almost certain to prompt extreme anticipation for the plethora of videos that will follow later in the day.

His comments have divided the fanbase, with some of the opinion that Bellerin is correct in his assessment and that AFTV are 'an embarrassment', while others believe the defender is disrespecting the club's paying supporters.

Now, Bellerin has taken to Twitter to comment on the escalated situation. He wrote: "There's some misleading quotes going around. At no point have I criticised Arsenal fan base. I have nothing but respect for all the support we get through ups & downs. I just voiced my opinion about a platform. Guess some people just can't take opinions about themselves.

"Anyway, in the @OxfordUnion talk I spoke about Mental Health, Healthy Life Balace, Racism which @RhianBrewster9 and many are subjects of in football, and other key society problems. Maybe we should focus on all opening up about these also.."

One thing is for sure; Bellerin is entitled to his opinion just as the fans are, but it remains to be seen what kind of reception he will receive when he turns out next for the north Londoners.

Tom Davies Backed for Everton Stardom as Wonderkid Racks Up Half Century of EPL Games

Kevin Kilbane has backed Tom Davies to become 'better and better' after the Everton wonderkid racked up his 50th Premier League appearance for the Toffees.

The ex-Blues midfielder was speaking to the club's website about Davies, who reach a half century of senior appearances for the Merseysiders in last Saturday's 1-0 reverse to Watford.

Davies has begun to sparkle again in recent weeks after struggling to recapture the form that helped him have a breakthrough campaign at Goodison Park last season.

And, after seeing the 19-year-old's development first hand over the past few years, Kilbane stated his belief that the centre midfielder had all the tools necessary to become an Everton star for years to come.

He said: “He has reached 50 games now, which is the point where you can start to really feel you have established yourself.

“Once you get to 50 games and beyond, more is expected of you – and there is a bit of pressure attached to that.

“And as he gets better and better through his career, which I expect him to, he has to live up to those expectations and manage the burden which comes with them.

“He is at the right club and in the right environment to help him take that load. And I think he will be absolutely fine. He has massively impressed me with the way he has continued to work at his game and looked to improve from the moment he first played in the team.”

Davies has been deployed in a more central attacking role by Sam Allardyce in recent weeks as the 63-year-old looks to get the best out of the academy graduate.

That has led to a marked improvement in the England Under-21s performances and, alongside Wayne Rooney and Idrissa Gueye, has formed a new talented triumvirate in the middle of the park.

Kilbane puts that change in role down to Davies' recovered displays and sees that position as one he can master.

He added: “I have liked Tom since he broke into the side. He brings a rawness to the team and some unpredictability, as well.

“Sometimes, that is key to getting results. We can all have functional elements to our game and play a certain way. And Tom is excellent on the ball and can play a specific role – he can play according to the manager’s needs.

Rachel Lindsay Sets the Record Straight On Relationship With Kevin Durant at Texas

Rachel Lindsay sets the record straight on her relationship in college with Warriors star Kevin Durant.

Former "Bachelorette" star Rachel Lindsay has officially clarified her relationship with Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant from their days in college together at the University of Texas in an appearance on The Ringer's "Bachelor Party" podcast with Juliet Litman.

In June 2017, Us Weekly reported that Lindsay dated Durant while in college but they broke up when she went to law school at Marquette University. Then in July, Lindsay told SI that she went to Texas with Durant, they knew each other and "that's as juicy as it gets."

Lindsay told The Ringer that when she tells people that she went to Texas, the follow up question is whether she knows Kevin Durant or Vince Young and then whether she has dated them.

Below is a transcription of the exchange at the end of the episode:

Litman: The moment we've all been waiting for. Did you date Kevin Durant?

Lindsay: I'll put it like this: I know Kevin. We went to college together at the same time...

Litman: Hook em horns!

Lindsay: Hook em horns! But no, what the – the way the media played it out, I think they said we were still serious and we were almost engaged. No.

Litman: I never thought that. Don't worry...I know how NBA players operate. He wasn't getting engaged at 19.

Lindsay: What? Who did this? (Laughs) I wasn't getting engaged but we've known each other. We've hung out together.

Litman: He seems like a great guy.

Lindsay: Very great guy. I haven't talked to him in like a few years but –

Litman: Gotta give him a congratulations. Finals MVP.

Lindsay: I went to the game and people were like 'Did he give her tickets?' No, he did not.

Litman: ESPN–ABC connection, guys c'mon...I see it.

Lindsay: Thank you. (Laughs)

Lindsay was asked whether she was a Dallas Mavericks fan because of her hometown. She said she remains an Oklahoma City Thunder fan even without Durant on the roster. She believes Russell Westbrook is the best point guard in the NBA and "he's very loyal to his team" but added that was not a jab at Durant. At Sports Illustrated's Fashionable 50 event in July, Westbrook told her that he watches The Bachelorette with his wife.

Lindsay is currently engaged after picking Bryan Abasolo as the recipient of her final rose.

Genoa vs Inter Preview: Classic Encounter, Key Battle, Prediction & More

Inter will be desperate to come away from Genoa with three points on Saturday as they chase a top three finish this term. That's easier said than done though, considering Genoa came out victorious the reverse fixture in May.

I Rossoblu have also won back-to-back Serie A games and are coming into this home clash full of confidence against Luciano Spalletti's side.

I Nerazzurri have stuttered in recent times after a solid title challenge early in the season and have drawn five of their six league games, failing to keep a clean sheet in their last five appearances.

Classic Encounter

In May 2015, Genoa defeated Inter 3-2 in one of the most exciting Serie A clashes that term.

Marco Luzzani/GettyImages

Inter talisman Mauro Icardi broke the deadlock on the day in the 19th minute, finessing the ball into the far corner after Hernanes' cross from the left byline fell kindly to him. Leonardo Pavoletti equalised just four minutes later with a 25-yard stunner - in his fourth successive match.

Former Genoa fan favourite Rodrigo Palacio put the away side ahead on the half-hour mark; beating the offside trap and dispatching his one vs. one. The momentum shifted again though, as Maxime Lestienne latched onto a loose touch from goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and converted from close range.

A reinvigorated Inter came out the far better side after the interval and pushed for the winning goal, hitting the woodwork twice in the process, but the underdogs snatched a dramatic late winner in the 88th minute through a Kucka header after a Genoa free-kick.

Key Battle

The key battle in this fixture will likely play out between Marco Icardi and Nicolas Spolli in Genoa's defensive third.

The Argentine talisman has netted 18 league goals already this term and is Inter's most destructive force in the final third by some margin. Likely to occupy the central defensive role between Davide Biraschi and Emilijus Zubas, Spolli will be tasked with hindering Icardi on the top of Davide Ballardini's agenda.

Team News

Internazionale will be without 33-year-old veteran defender Miranda on the day. The Brazilian is expected to return towards the end of February after suffering with abductor issues.

Genoa could welcome back forward ace Giuseppe Rossi and Aleandro Rosi to the squad after extended absences for both.

Miguel Veloso and Armando Izzo are unavailable for the home side, with Veloso having a muscle injury while Izzo recovers from a serious knee issue.

Predicted Line-ups:

Genoa: Perin, Zukanovic, Spolli, Biraschi, Pereira, Laxalt, Hiljemark, Bertolacci, Rigoni,

Galabinov, Pandev

Inter Milan: Handanovic, Cancelo, Skriniar, Ranocchia, D’Ambrosio, Vecino, Valero,

Karamoh, Brozovic, Rafinha, Icardi

The Nerazzurri will be well aware of the importance of their upcoming league matches as they aim for Champions League football next term.

Genoa will look to capitalise on Spalletti's defensive woes in the early stages of his career with Inter, while Davide Ballardini's side have fallen only three times, to Juventus, Atalanta and Udinese.

Inter are the clear favourites to come away with the lion's share of points on Saturday and are desperate to stay within touching range of their domestic pinnacle, with Juve and Napoli and as a result they're likely to come away victorious.
